Ann Lobotzke’s career is a vibrant celebration of music, performance, and teaching—driven by a deep love of sharing the harp’s magic with every audience. From the moment she first heard the harp as a child, Ann Lobotzke was captivated. That passion grew into a lifelong journey, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in harp performance under the guidance of distinguished mentors Danis Kelly, Alice Chalifoux, Judy Loman, and Jeanne Henderson.

Ann’s versatile career spans orchestras, theater pits, and stages worldwide. As principal harpist of the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra and a longtime Milwaukee Symphony collaborator, she has performed classical masterworks, pops programs, and live film scores alongside legends like Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, and Johnny Mathis. Her performances have graced Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Ravinia Festival, and Teatro Amadeo Roldán in Cuba, as well as multimedia concerts celebrating video games like The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon.

Teaching
Ann’s teaching studio welcomes harpists of all ages and experience levels. Through her training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, she is skilled at guiding very young children as they take their first steps into the world of music.
More advanced students benefit from the opportunity to study with Ann at the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where she prepares aspiring professionals for careers in today’s diverse music industry. Her university-level instruction emphasizes a strong technical foundation, expressive musicality, and the versatility required of 21st-century musicians. Many of her students have gone on to successful careers performing, teaching, and leading school music programs.
Ann also supports students pursuing advanced levels of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams, helping them achieve excellence through structured goals and high standards.
A particularly rewarding part of Ann’s teaching is working with adult students. Whether returning to the harp after a break or fulfilling a lifelong dream to learn, adult learners receive the same thoughtful instruction, encouragement, and practical technique to explore the beauty of harp music.
